CD: The Scarecrow Flutistby *forte-girl7

Traditional Art / Printing / Dry Point

This was shown last night briefly on the LiveStream and I just felt like scanning it in and posting it. This was the first print I made when I took a short printshop class last semester. It was dry point on a zinc plate.

As seen here, it's a flute-playing scarecrow, who's friends with the crows from his field. I guess he'd be kinda like a Piper with the crows, because, that just sounds like a nifty idea. And he's able to play his flute because he's magic as you know.. haha, he doesn't have lips

So yeah. Printmaking is fun

I really love the way you drew this, and not only that, but the character as well.

I mean. It's a scarecrow. They're awesome. And this one can MOVE. *was always amused and impressed by that as a kid, yes*

I like this! Didn't recognize it as coming from you at first. Printmaking, huh? The grass kind of looks like flame, I enjoy the symbolism--and the fact that the scarecrow has no face. Nice
