More zombies! Here are some new designs (plus an old one you all already know) of my group of "sentient" zombies, who have kept all their personalities and intelligence from their former lives. They all are kinda fed up with the homicide of their fellow zombies by the human survivors, who they'd like to take down, but spend most of their time avoiding. Here's who we have from left to right:
- Slim: An abnormally tall and slender zombie, Slim has an extreme fear of anything paranormal, be it ghosts, aliens, etc. He's a rather shy guy who likes to keep to himself and surf the net, reading various occult stories or conspiracy theories, but finds himself occasionally brought out of his home by the disappearance of his dog, Brains. He's very paranoid and is nothing short of a coward, though most of the time he intimidates others with his towering height.
- Brains: Slim's dog, who's highly curious and likes to run off. He causes Slim and the group a few issues when they have to go looking for him. Slim claims he's a vegetarian dog.
- Headshot: An expert marksman while living, Headshot is named after the ironic way he died. As a zombie, he still retains his skill with a rifle, but unfortunately, not his memory, thanks to his obvious head wound. He's a rather friendly fellow overall, but has a tendency to forget who is friend and who is foe. A good chuck of the back of his head is missing, but he doesn't seem to mind much. He also has a very strong sweet tooth and likes to wander about in search for sweets from time to time.
- Hattie: The prima donna of the group, Hattie was known for her voice when still alive. She still has fairly decent singing skills as a zombie, but now her singing also attracts other zombies. She doesn't mind this too much, though, as she likes the attention though it can sometimes cause trouble. She's worried about her appearance as a zombie and wears a variety of hats in order to cover up a large hole in the top of her head. She's both self conscious of it as well as afraid birds will take advantage of it.
- Analog: A fat, lazy guy, Analog would prefer to stay in his basement than venture out into the world and socialize with other zombies. It's probably best that way, as he's rather fond of zombie games and that makes conversations sometimes awkward. One of the reasons he even joins the group is to see how everything plays out and feels pretty confident he'll be left alone. He always has a portable game system on him when he does leave his basement and still enjoys eating pizza.
- Hurdle: The technical leader of the group, Hurdle is a hot-headed, athletic zombie. After coming to terms with her condition, she became extremely bitter towards the massacre of her fellow zombies. She tries to get the others motivated, but their own interests and distractions keep them from being an effective horde. As her name implies, she used to run track, as well as play a variety of other sports, which she still does in her free time.
Will all of them eventually fall apart? Now that their immune system has shut down, won't microorganisms, insects and fungus slowly ingest your entire cast? Or will the virus that turned them into the haggard un-dead, also protect them from infections that will cause them to (literally) fall apart?
P.S. Are they actively hunting humans? If so, do they work as a pack?
(Love your work! Your execution and concepts are really cool!)
Cheerio!
