Personality: Brodie is a very friendly, adventurous guy. He’s known for being very-level headed and laidback and is not known to get visibly upset or angry. He likes to try and mediate the problems of other people if he can and is very willing to give advice, but knows better than to pry. Thanks to being the oldest of three children, he tends to fill in as the big brother to most people. He has a major soft spot for those younger than him and is especially good with children.

Due to this, he is very protective to those he feels close to and due to his childhood of being picked on, does not tolerate bullying of any sort. He usually deals with such instances with a calm, polite attitude, but if he feels things have gotten too far out of hand, can get dangerously serious about the matter. Situations like this, or in times where he actually gets visibly angry, transform him into a force with which to be reckoned. Luckily, these moods usually pass quickly and happen rarely.

However, despite his rather cheery demeanor most of the time, Brodie is also somewhat closed off when it comes to personal matters. He tends to mask his sadness when around other people and sometimes doesn’t fully open up, trying to avoid more intimate relationships due to a slight fear of heartbreak.

History: The eldest child of Hugh and Bridge Walters, Brodie was raised by a loving, yet very lively family that consisted mainly of pilots.

Due to this, he developed an early and strong interested and attraction to planes and flying. However, at school, he found himself at the butt-end of jokes and teasing to do his gawky appearance, and found comfort in sports, mainly swimming. He spent most of his school years as part of the school’s swim team and found both a love and talent when it came to the high dive.

This coping mechanism worked for the most part, but Brodie found it didn’t always help quell his dislike of bullying when it was towards other people. He typically was known to rush to the aid of his younger siblings or his friends, though usually kept his temper under control. However, one day, Brodie’s patience was pushed past the limit when he saw another kid get picked on. He found himself in a fist fight in her defense, which ended up getting the young man sent home.

It was that day Brodie was introduced to skydiving. His grandfather, who was in visiting, found the young man at home and questioned why he wasn’t at school. After a long, slightly anger-fueled explanation, Brodie found himself on his grandparents’ airplane, geared up alongside his grandfather with a parachute on his back. He found an instant love for parachuting and skydiving that day, as well as a new friend. Macy, the girl he had come to the rescue to earlier that day, stopped by to thank him and they hit it off very well. From that point on, the two became best friends. They were nearly inseparable up until they graduated high school, where Macy soon moved off to go to college, while Brodie stayed at home to work at his parents’ hangar.

Brodie seemed to dodge the questions regarding his feelings towards it, but truthfully, the young man was rather upset he had never actually said anything to his best friend before she left. He spent the next few years burying his feelings away with both work and the freedom to skydive whenever he wanted. He began to travel around the world to find different places to jump at, loving the different lays of the land as well as the rush of freefalling to the earth.

However, his rather carefree lifestyle started to slow down after the death of his grandfather. The passing of his grandfather cause the young man to stop and think about his life. He suddenly became motivated to track Macy down after all those years, finding that all the traveling and jumping had completely stopped helping him forget his feelings. After a while of asking around, he eventually found his old friend, only to find her already happily married with a family. The news broke his heart and he went on his way, though they promised to stay friends and stay in better touch than they had in the previous years.

Since then, Brodie has felt the need to both settle down and leave the nest, wanting to start his own hangar elsewhere and to increase the family’s influence. After hearing from a friend about Raccolto and the surrounding Islands, he decides to move out there, to hopefully bunker down and move on from his past hearbreak.
