Chameleon Charm News - Oct 22, 2015

Hello hello hello my good readers!

I have some important news to share with you.

Firstly, I am sad to report, we unfortunately did not make our goal on the recent Kickstarter. We were a little under $300 off from the goal, so I will have to find alternate means of paying to print the Chapter 2 booklets. Hopefully, the next Kickstarter I run will be a bit more successful, but I still want to thank all of you who did support the campaign and spread the word.

Secondly, things will be changing somewhat drastically for Chameleon Charm. Due to changing schedules and interests with Cup of Comics, Chameleon Charm will no longer be updating there. I have found new hosting space here on Tumblr and will probably remain here until/unless I find alternative means of hosting and webspace.

However, cause the Patreon is still budding and I still have other things to account for, that won’t be anytime soon, so we’ll just make a nice comfy home here on Tumblr.

The comic can now be found over at chameleoncharmcomic.tumblr.com.

With the launch of this new site, Chameleon Charm also has a Twitter account, where updates will be posted as well. With Chameleon Charm on Tumblr that means it should be a bit more reliable and automatic, so that’s always good, so be sure to follow the Twitter for the latest notifications for the comic’s updates.

The first Tumblr, of course, will still be in operation and will more or less serve as a News hub for the comic and any related projects. I will continue to post news and announcements there, as well as reblogging fan art and answering any questions. I will probably also link that Tumblr to the Twitter as well, so news from here will also be broadcast over there.

Another thing with the new Tumblr is I have a page set up to feature Fanart. I still have to set it up, but I would really like to showcase all the wonderful fanart I’ve gotten this far. It’s all really great and I’m so glad people enjoy my comic enough to draw things for it.

Chameleon Charm will also be open for affiliates, especially for other webcomics, and more information can be found on the Links page at the webcomic’s Tumblr. 

In regards to the comic, I had intended in relaunching this past Tuesday, but because I was rather ill the week before and really busy the weeks before that, I am a tad behind schedule. I do plan on coming back really soon, as I am really looking forward to Chapters 6 and 7.

More news on when pages resume posting to come - be sure to follow both this blog and the Twitter to stay in the loop.

Also, I’m thinking about resuming work on the Ask Ferdinand Tumblr, though I will probably be purging the current Inbox and starting anew. It was fun to do the answers to reveal some more backstory to the character. If I can keep it up, I might also open an Ask Veronica Tumblr at some point. Any thoughts on that idea would be most appreciated.

Anyway, that’s the low down for what’s happening with Chameleon Charm thus far. Again, I just want to thank all of you loyal readers for sticking with us this long and hopefully you will continue to enjoy the comic as we move forward. It’s you guys that really motivate me to keep pushing through with this, as I am really attached to this story and these characters and want to share this world I’ve created with you.
